Violence Free Faith

Everyone deserves a life free from violence and abuse. This includes being safe from religious abuse and safe in local faith communities.

1 in 4 women (24.3%) and 1 in 7 men (13.8%) aged 18 and older in the US have been the victim of severe physical violence by an intimate partner in their lifetime.

Faith communities and religious organizations are not exempt from that statistic. That means 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men in your faith community have experienced severe physical violence by an intimate partner. Survivors are all around us.

Join us in raising awareness of domestic and family violence this October. You can find resources and a toolkit for raising awareness on the National Network to End Domestic Violence‘s website.
